About Julie Mann Sperry
Julie Mann Sperry started pursuing her passion for photography by obtaining an Associate's Degree in Photographic Illustration from Rochester Institute of Technology. She then attended West Virginia University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Following a brief career in Computer Science, raising a family became her main focus. Now, as she has transitioned into the "empty nest" phase, she has resumed the pursuit of photography as an art form. Julie currently lives in West Virginia, taking joy in the many subjects the rural landscape provides, both at home and across the country. “I believe beauty exists all around us. Through my love of photography as an art form, I seek to visually communicate that beauty in my work. Light, shadow, texture, color, composition, and subject are the "words" I use to convey the story of that beauty. The ability to capture an emotion, a mood, or a sense of awe and pass it along to the viewer--this, I believe, is the mark of a successful artist.” Biography coming soon...
